Swedish Customs grant JAS the Authorised Economic Operator certification - On November 11, 2009, JAS Forwarding (Scandinavia) AB in Sweden obtained its AEO certificate after almost nine month of heavy work. The AEO certificate was issued by Svenska Tullverket (Swedish Customs).

"We were already a classified partner to the Swedish customs authorities which means that JAS in Sweden could offer its customers electronically customs clearance all over Sweden plus a lot of additional services" says Johan Bjorklund, MD of JAS in Sweden. "For us it was natural decision to start the AEO work as soon as possible and to develop all features ourselves instead of hiring a consultant to do the work for us", says Johan further.

The aim for us has been, and will continue to be, to closely stay in cooperation with the customs authorities allowing us to always present the right solutions to our customers and to take the lead on knowledge.

We decided to perform all the work ourselves vs. an outside source in order to allow our team to work together and learn everything at the same time. This will also give us opportunities to further strengthen our relationship with customs and to further stay focused on our customer's needs and demands.
